Toyota’s new program for your lost or damaged keys

Launched by Toyota Financial Services (TFS), owners of Toyota cars will not have to worry about lost, damaged or stolen car keys. The new Key Replacement Protection for drivers is here and this product will get them back on the road again.

The latest technology from modern car keys now gives extra availability and security.  However, replacing the vehicle key can add to the cost. It can cost hundreds of dollars to replace and reprogram a new remote key.

“Today’s vehicle technology is great for consumers,” said Karen Ideno, vice president of Product & Marketing, Toyota Financial Services. “Unfortunately, this sometimes comes with a high cost to replace. We know key replacement can be stressful for our customers, and we’re happy to now offer a solution.”

In order to help relieve this potential financial collision for the customer who damaged, lost or had his keys stolen, Toyota Financial Service/Lexus Financial Services (TFS/LFS) launched one of their newest protection products. This Key Replacement product was financed and built by the strength of Toyota and Lexus.

The Key Replacement Protection benefits include:

• For key replacement- up to $800
• Lock –out assistance- $100
• For towing- $100
• For taxi/public transportation/ vehicle rental- $75
• Replacement for other additional nonprogrammable keys on the key ring ( restricted to 3 occurrences)- up to $250

Key replacement Protection has been added as an improvement to the TFS/LFS Tire & Wheel program. There are plans to offer it as a stand-alone product later this year. Toyota Financial Services (TFS) has partnered up with Safe-Guard Products International, a leading industry in managing vehicle protection products, ensuring their quality service to Key Replacement Protection clients.
