Toyota Reports More than 9 Million Hybrid Sales
The revolution started with the Prius hybrid vehicle, which was launched in December 1997 in Japan and afterward in Europe and America. The latest news by Toyota Motor Corporation is that company reported sales of 9 million hybrid vehicles. On 30th April this Japanese maker reported sales of 9.014 million units.
According to the automaker, the use of hybrid vehicles rather than the conventional vehicles which has similar size and performance reduced nearly sixty seven million tones of CO2 emissions and nearly saved twenty five million kilolitres of gasoline (petrol).

Thirty-three hybrid passenger car models are now on sale in more than ninety countries and regions, including India. The latest fourth generation of vehicle had its public appearance in India at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo. Toyota introduced Hybrid models, Corolla and Levin, in China as well.
The Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 was announced by Toyota in October last year all in order to reduce the negative impact that cars have on the environment, leading to zero as its goal. For all those challenges Toyota is working to extend the lineup of their hybrid vehicles trying to reach a goal of 1.5 million units.
Toyota acknowledges the amazing support for their hybrid vehicles from their consumers all around the world. This company continues to improve their performance, decrease costs, and extend lineup by building and creating vehicles that are attractive to consumers.
By producing and developing hybrid technologies Toyota positioned its place as the lead company in this field.
Toyota sold 4 million hybrids Japan and sealed its place as the largest automaker in the market worldwide. Other members which joined the family are the Lexus 500h, revealed this February, followed by the Toyota C-HR, which was presented in Geneva, and Auris Hybrid launched in Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun.
