Toyota Receives Corporate Partnership Award At the 2016 Latino M/WBE Awards Ceremony Held in New York

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) received the “Corporate Partnership Award” at the Latino M/WBE Awards ceremony held in New York in February. The award was received by Luis Rosero, Director of Toyota’s Hispanic Business Strategy Group, for company’s superior achievements and initiatives in supporting Hispanic enterprises.

AwardFor the past 10 years, Toyota has been one of the top-selling automotive brands in the Hispanic market. This has resulted in strengthening its connections with this substantial consumer segment which is among the top world’s economies. Toyota’s engagement can be seen through the company’s strategic initiatives, partnership that improve and establish Hispanic businesses in the U.S. Apart from this, Toyota is founding member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), which celebrates corporations spending at least $1 billion with ‘women’ and ‘minority’ owned suppliers.

The 2016 Latino M/WBE Award celebrates important corporations making a difference in the Hispanic business community. There are many others received 2016 Latino M/WBE awards involving: Scott Stringer, Comptroller of New York City, who received the M/WBE Government Advocate Award; Ralph Perez, President of New York Geomatics, who received the M/WBE of the Year Award; and Elizabeth Velez, President of The Velez Organization, who received the M/WBE Advocate Award. The awards were determined by a distinguished panel of judges, among which are: Alfred Placeres, Esq., former USHCC Board Member; Fannie Aleman, President of the Westchester Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Rick Miranda, President of Brooklyn Kings County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
