For this year, the magazine featured Toyota’s Organization for Development of Latinos (TODOS), a team of 600 members all across North America. The aim of TODOS is to develop the talent of team members and also make a positive impact on members.
“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to the Latino community, from efforts to empower team members to initiatives to help drive our communities forward,” said Adrienne Trimble, general manager, diversity & inclusion, Toyota Motor North America. “Hispanic-owned enterprises are some of our key business partners. We’ve done more than $1 billion in business with Latino suppliers to date, and since 2000, we’ve tripled the number of our Hispanic-owned Toyota and Lexus dealerships.”
Also, Toyota currently launched “Juntos Somos Imparables” or meaning “Together We Are Unstoppable.” This was aimed at those celebrating and making a difference in the lives of Hispanic people. This all encourages them to succeed and fulfill their dreams.
The LATINO nominations 100 were submitted formally and informally, through magazine’s readers, non – profits and other community organizations, other partners and stakeholders in the Hispanic market. List was made by editors of LATINO from these nominations and through their own research on companies as well as programs that have a positive impact on Latinos.
