Toyota Kicks Off “Juntos somos Imparables” series to Salute Latino Achievement at NALEO 2017

July 15th, 2017 by

Toyota, one of the best-selling brands among Hispanics since 2004, will showcase its new home which is north of Dallas metroplex and start its “Juntos Somos Imparables” (Together We Are Unstoppable). This was 34th annual conference of the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO) which took place at Sheraton Dallas Hotel, from June 22nd to 24th.
The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, NALEO, was established in 1976.

The “Juntos Somos Imparables” campaign is a part of national-level society commitment that will take place in the U.S. during 2017. This campaign recognizes the achievement among those who made a difference in the lives of Hispanics by helping them fulfill their dreams. There will be several experiential areas at many events organized by important Latino organizations.

The characteristic license plate with words “perseverance” and “courage” represent very specific value for the community of Hispanic people.

This year, Toyota will display its new-state-of-the-art headquarters in Plano, north of Dallas. A tour for NALEO board members will be organized, which includes 6,000 chosen officials at all levels of government. It also includes a 2.1 million square-foot campus, environmentally-sustainable campus that will officially be open in July. Members of the board will also take part in the NALEO Educational Fund’s service project. Project provides wellness-survival equipment to Outlast Youth, a nonprofit organization with the aim to prevent and lower homelessness among Dallas-area LBGTQ young people by 2020.

“We’re delighted that this year’s conference is coming to the city of Dallas,” commented Adrienne Trimble, general manager of Diversity & Inclusion for Toyota Motor North America. “We’re excited to showcase our new headquarters and honor local leaders who have uplifted and given back to our Hispanic community.”

Among all of this Toyota recruited various Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalists, among who is Neida Sandoval that will serve as the “Juntos Somos Imparables” campaign celebrity ambassador. She won five Emmy awards during her 37-year career, working as journalist and as a reporter for Univision for 23 years, 15 years in morning show “Despierta America”. In the past two years, she also worked as a journalist for Telemundo’s popular morning show “Un Nuevo Dia”. In addition to all of this, she feels the passion for humanitarian causes.

“I love this initiative to honor those who have inspired us in life. I credit my parents with inspiring me to be courageous, win over my fears and dream big. I want to give back by motivating others to hand down these important values to future generations,” Sandoval declared.
This conference was visited by the Hispanic digital community which follows this campaign. It was broadcasted via Facebook Live Chat and Twitter Chat.

“We would like to extend our appreciation and thanks for Toyota’s partnership and support as the Presenting Sponsor of the NALEO 34th Annual Conference,” said Arturo Vargas, executive director of NALEO. “Toyota has continually demonstrated a strong commitment to the Latino community”.
