Toyota Connected in Plano with more employees
A year after its launch, Toyota Connected is preparing to double its employees. Extending offices, making more spaces at the Legacy West Urban Village. This is next to the Toyota Motor North America’s new headquarters.Toyota Connected is the data science center. This center extensively supports area of customers such as government and business facing actions.

Established in April 2016. At first was planned to employ 100.Now has already 55 technologists, which includes data scientists, engineers and software developers. For now there is a plan to employ 200. There is also added 13,500 square feet..

“The amount of interest and demand in leveraging our big data to create new products and services has been incredible,” said Zack Hicks, Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Connected, and Chief Information Officer at Toyota Motor North America. “Over the past year we’ve been scaling up to deliver on these new opportunities, which will significantly impact the way consumers interact with vehicles.”

Toyota Connected also started with establishing Toyota’s Mobility Platform.This is cloud-based digital ecosystem and will allow mobility services like car sharing,ride sharing and much more services.

“Our mobility platform offers more functionality within the vehicle itself, but it goes way beyond that,” Hicks said. “We’re exploring services to manage fleets, expand ride-sharing capabilities and leverage big data to contextually and intuitively improve services for our customers to deliver an amazing experience with our Toyota and Lexus brands.”

These wireless services are delivered by Microsoft’s cloud-based Azure platform. A distribution of Toyota Motor Corp., Toyota Connected enables a range of data and computer science services across Toyota’s operations.
