Summer driving safety tips

June 10th, 2018 by

Did you know June is National Safety Month? Although safety should be top of minds each and every day, this month we will focus on ways to get you and your vehicle prepared for the summer months ahead. Buckle up and get your notepad ready! Below we highlight a few to ensure an adventurous yet safe summer.

  • Service your vehicle. Before any road trip this summer, schedule a service appointment to have your vehicle inspected. When scheduling your appointment, ask our service advisors to inspect your air conditioning, tires, top off washer fluid, oil change, replace oil filter, brakes, and engine.
  • Rent a car. If you are leasing a vehicle and concerned about mileage, or you simply do not want the wear and tear on your beloved vehicle, consider renting a car. With rates as low at $29 per day, you can explore our rental cars and trucks at your convenience here.
  • Wear a seatbelt. Whether you are fixing your vehicle quickly in the parking lot or driving down the street to get a gallon of gas, everyone in the vehicle should wear their seatbelt.
  • Emergency kit. Plan for the unexpected. Create your own emergency kit to store in your vehicle in case of an unfortunate event. Consider having jumper cables, a first aid kit, a flashlight, a small tool kit, reflective warning triangles, and a spare tire with jack.
