A New Wonder and Very Different Plug-In Prius from Toyota on 2016 New York Auto Show
Two years after ending production of previous Prius Plug-in hybrid car, comes the 2017 Prius Prime.
Investing in advanced hybrid technology, Toyota revealed new green car, and new member of the Prius family at the New York International Auto Show.
This car has extraordinary new exterior, but the most important, this Prius has the world’s most thermally efficient engine design. New mechanical marvel has been showed in the Prius lineup at 9:10 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, March 23. This is plug in version of fourth generation Prius.

If we look at the photo it might be telling us that might look more unlike what is to be expected. The new Prius is on sale for a couple of months now. It is a important car for many reasons, because this is the first that was built on the company’s all-new vehicle architecture.

This debut of the Prius plug in hybrid only shows how Toyota is committed to its Prius lineup of hybrids. Most Americans can commute with Prius Prime in EV mode. 50 percent of them could get to work and come back, without using a drop of gas.

Making perfect the size of the 8.8 kilowatt-hour lithium battery, the Prius Prime accomplishes critical weight savings. Meaning charging battery faster just simply plugging it to a standard household outlet. Toyota says the Prime can double maximum electric range to 22 miles with a full charge before it switches to its gas engine. It can be recharged in 5.5 hours with a 120-v outlet.

Looking inside, Toyota engineers enlarge the space of this mid-size car, its suitable for four adult person, fold-down seats and sufficient cargo room.
Another interesting characteristic is the Prius Prime’s accessible 11.6-inch HD touch screen displaying all the information that are important in one place. This screen features intuitive control with finger and the ability to touch similar to phone screens.

If you want to park it, Prius Prime has (IPA) Intelligent Parking Assist, using ultrasonic wave sensors.
Prius Prime will be launched in fall this year, it will be available in 50 states.
